Monkey Balloon Pop – everybody’s favorite evening game.
Half-days are made for playdates.
Kaitlyn convinced me to buy the “special” Lucky Charms. She was so excited to see the dragon marshmallows transform she even wanted to put milk in her cereal. She hasn’t had milk in a couple of years (in any form).
Some days, your brother’s toys are just better.
This is what after school looks like. One making a snack. One cleaning up from a snack. One doing homework.
Our school had its annual back to school picnic tonight. There was an ice cream truck so of course the kids got dessert. The cotton candy was bigger than their heads!
Kaitlyn checked out the princess cookbook from the school library (again). She really wanted to try almost every recipe but settled for just a few. Tonight we made Fa Family Lo Mein.
We are finally getting the tree in the backyard cut and the kids were so excited to watch.
Kaitlyn has spent all afternoon and evening creating and playing with pipe cleaners and mini dinosaurs. The plan for tomorrow is to go by a craft store to buy more pipe cleaners so the fun doesn’t have to stop.
Kaitlyn had another full day of sports but was still all smiles and full of energy.
Dress rehearsal before the first cheer competition tomorrow.
These two made a massive pillow fort.
Last year Kaitlyn wore athletic gear 90% of the time. This year it appears we are back to dresses 90% of the time.
Kaitlyn and Ben had a snowball fight and it was adorable.
Kaitlyn had a birthday party today and had the best time.
Kaitlyn had her first soccer game today and spent the second half playing goalie.
Kaitlyn informed me she was a Moon Goddess and would grant me anything I wished.
We decided on pancakes for breakfast today.
Kaitlyn is loving 3rd grade!
Books and a snack before bed.
Today included an intense game of cops and robbers.
Kaitlyn went with Wade to run some errands. Wade later entered the house but I saw no sign of Kaitlyn. I asked Wade where she was and he told me she was still sitting in the truck reading. I went out to check and sure enough she was just sitting in the driveway, in the truck, with her book.
Kaitlyn got up really early this morning so she took a midmorning nap before her big brothers were even awake.
Kaitlyn has had her nose stuck in a book all week. She’s reading a new series – Dragon Girls.
(Also of note – this is what she calls “Jasmine hair”)
The hottest new “old” toy at our house. Newly fixed up by Wade.
First day of 3rd grade!
Meet the teacher day!
First football game of the year.
She’s the happiest when she’s in control.
I love that these two can actually play games together (without help).
One last hike before school starts.
A day of fun!
Ben, Kaitlyn, and I met some friends at the park today. My kids loved the track around the play set.
Everybody took a lunch break at the same time – that never happens!
Going on a lobster adventure.
Acadia is mesmerizing.
What a hike! What a view!
Acadia National Park
Very important Pokemon game.
I’m not sure the pets were so glad to have everyone home again.
Nobody wanted to wake up this morning.
Some of them are a little old for the park but they were all good sports.
