Electronics for all!
Sunday church best. Alex is wearing Ben’s purse for him. The minute Ben saw Kaitlyn’s purse he wanted one too. Kaitlyn was nice enough to get one for him that matched his outfit. He carried it all morning but didn’t want it for the picture.
Ben convinced Kaitlyn to build his car wash, but then she didn’t want to share. Ages 7 and 4 are rough.
The final soccer practice of Spring.
We bought a new lunch box in preparation for next year, but it has just made Kaitlyn want to pack her lunch most every day the last few days of the year.
Kaitlyn is worried about her strawberry plant and trying to give it extra care lately.
Kaitlyn is practicing to be the next Katniss Everdeen.
It’s Fun Fair and the entire family has been drafted into volunteering. (Kaitlyn was helping to get the Dum Dum tree ready in the games area.)
Kaitlyn came home with three love notes in her backpack today. I asked her about them and she got an embarrassed look on her face and said, “He says he’s going to marry me when he grows up.”
I offered to make these two dinner before soccer practice, but they wanted to make their own dinner.
Ben and Kaitlyn spent the afternoon building campfires. They each had their own rock ring, small twigs and branches, and pile of leaves.
What is truly amazing is for the amount of time these kids spend in the sandbox there is actually very little sand in my house.
The slip ‘n slide was a huge hit today!
Dressed in their summer Sunday best.
Kaitlyn agreed to help make posters for the FunFair.
This is not what we intended the rebounder to be used for, but Kaitlyn always has other ideas.
Kaitlyn pulled out her recipes and did a little cooking for dinner tonight. Southern Ham Biscuits – delicious!
Ben’s preschool had a graduation ceremony and picnic this evening. We had a wonderful family evening before rushing Alex to lacrosse.
Evening truck ride around the yard. The kids love it.
Today was supposed to reach the mid-90s so we broke out the pool.
Summer is here!
Hot dogs for dinner.
Someone snuck out of bed to watch a Celtics game with Dad.
Every morning this week we have had a guest on our bedroom floor. The last time this happened she had been watching Scooby Doo before bedtime. I wonder what show she has been watching now?
Kaitlyn wanted to read to Wade tonight, which is pretty rare. Normally she much prefers to listen to a book at bedtime.
Kaitlyn was fixing her snack for school when she had a little accident. No big deal and she got right to cleaning it up. KitKat showed up right afterwards to help with the cleanup. (She loves to eat Kix.)
We had a little extra time after Kaitlyn’s game but before Alex’s game was over. She was a pretty good sport about hanging out at the fields.
Part of me thinks these two have playdates simply for the unlimited snacks.
Kaitlyn created her own obstacle course. Guess who won?
Their favorite combination – the trampoline and the blower.
Half-days make the perfect excuse for playdates.
Today’s new game – place the jacket up high and try to get it with lacrosse sticks.
These kiddos snuck upstairs for some electronics while Ben was busy playing Paw Patrol downstairs.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Saturday morning cartoons.
Date night for Mom and Dad means all the kids play electronics together upstairs.
Just sliding around before soccer practice.
These kiddos are working on Mother’s Day gifts for Gram and Granny.
Before school fun.
Lacrosse practice this morning.
This book has been extremely popular around our house lately.
Kaitlyn’s fascination with snakes continues. Book number two on snakes from the school library.
Learning a new skill.
Kaitlyn brought the book Crictor back from Collierville and couldn’t wait to read it Daddy. (It was one of Wade’s childhood books.)
Tonight I got a second birthday celebration!
