Sunday lineup.
Teague
Happy Birthday to me!
S’mores.
Chocolate chip pie coming up.
Teague spent many hours today in the eye doctor’s office trying out his new contact and being fitted for a contact for the other eye. We didn’t end up taking the contact home. The doctor determined it wasn’t. good fit and was too small. Now two contacts have been ordered and we are once again waiting.
Teague has joined a mountain biking club, but the weather has been against him and this is only the second time he has been able to join the group.
Hiking Purgatory Chasm.
Sunday lineup.
Saturday morning chores are still everyone’s favorite.
First Swirls and Scoops of the season.
(Typical picture of my crew. Some being sweet and some…not.)
Today when Ben asked for help, Teague was more than happy to spend quite a bit of time explaining.
Late night gaming with Dad after the littles are in bed.
These two were having a contest to see who could be tallest.
Solar Eclipse.
Sunday lineup. (Ben decided on a western theme for his outfit today and we didn’t bat an eye. Alex hated it and we agreed we never would have let him attend church at age 6 dressed like that. Oh how things have changed in 10 yers.)
Teague decided today needed to be a Chocolate Chip Cookie day.
We are still washing dishes by hand at our house. Sadly, I don’t think the kids are getting any better at it.
After dinner – Teague finishing up some overdue chores and Alex trying to enlist Wade to help with his painting project.
Even Teague was intrigued with the new skateboard.
Just a little nightly screen cleaning.
Churros for snack today!
Happy Easter.
Easter Sundays are always really busy (at least for the first half of the day). We agreed as a family to get up at 6:30 and see what the Easter bunny had brought. Then some people could start getting ready and the ones who needed a quick nap could take one. This year we all remembered to put Pepper in the kennel the night before so that she wouldn’t get into the chocolate. The kids were excited for their baskets and it was fun to watch them dig into them.
Then we got dressed up, attended church, and took the Sunday picture. I needed to get a few of our lunch things underway and then we went outside for the kids to hunt eggs. The kids all found their special eggs pretty quickly, but the chicken egg was a little tricky this year. Alex finally found it with quite a bit of “hot-cold” help from Wade.
What a glorious day!
Wade attempted to fix the dishwasher (by replacing the drain pump) but it still wouldn’t work. He finally called a repairman, but sadly they can’t come till Monday. That means we actually have to clean out the dishwasher and not just wash the new dishes.
The chaos of an evening at the Burch house – made even more so because our dishwasher is currently broken. Alex is washing dishes. Teague is telling Wade about his day. Kaitlyn is running around. Ben is trying to finish dinner.
Everybody wanted to play games this afternoon. Rattlesnake Jake was Ben’s pick.
I walked in from running errands to find Teague napping on the couch.
Teague came home from school on Friday with another pair of broken glasses. I’m a little embarrassed to call our neighbor (also our optician) and tell him we need another pair of frames for Teague in less than a month.
Sunday lineup (minus Ben who stayed home sick).
Easter Breakfast and egg hunt at church.
Teague has become quite attached to his phone after school these days.
I finally measured the boys’ for the growth chart – only a month late, not too bad.
I am taking dinner to a family tomorrow night and Teague agreed to make the dessert – Chocolate Chip Pie.
Teague is still leaving a trail of socks throughout the house.
The assignment to each child – make a funny face.
Sunday lineup.
Today’s couch plumping chore ended in a dog pile. (Note Kaitlyn’s legs.)
Dad’s home and he brought snacks back from Belgium!
It’s pi day. Of course, Teague made pie.
After dinner cookies coming up!
As of this weekend, all of the kids have their own Fortnite accounts. I love the usernames they have picked for themselves. Teague’s username is wearyhandle. (They all have random numbers after the names as most usernames do these days.)
An early dinner before swim lessons. (Teague decided to show off of the picture. He doesn’t normally finish his chili this way.)
Sunday lineup.
Saturday means chore day and a clean house. A lot of times that means I say no to afternoon cooking, but today I agreed to some cookies.
After everyone was in bed, I walked through the living room and found a drawing left by Teague.
Pasta and Bingo Night!
The littles were determined to cover Teague with blankets. He wasn’t quite as amused as they were.
I have to make cookies for a school function and Teague offered to make them for me!
Brothers.
