Trucks. Dirt. A Happy Boy.
Alex
A little misjudgment while drinking from the hose.
I was informed the “worker men” had to fix the tractor.
These two went missing at Yo Mama today.
We found them in this nook having a very involved conversation.
(I love that they are having real conversations now!)
Family picture
(Obviously for a different purpose but it was a good picture! Ignore the blank sign.)
Who me? I’m not doing anything.
Zoo class today – Snakes and Chameleons!
We had a family outing to Build-A-Bear. Alex chose the bunny for both he and his “sister.”
Wade did a voice recording (singing a lullaby) for the baby.
Welcome home Tabit!
(She’s been missing since Sunday afternoon and showed up this morning.
Alex wanted to cuddle with her on the couch.)
Trucks stacked on trucks in the back of a truck. Perfect.
Grocery shopping in the rain.
My bookworm – reading on the way to church.

Alex doesn’t ask to play doctor. Instead he randomly comes up to you and says, “Are you sick?”
Watching our car get a bath.
Play item of choice all morning.
Story time is serious business.
Alex’s big request for the day was sledding. We had enough snow to make it happen.
(Our “small” hill in the front yard is perfect for his age. I’m sure next year we will have to find a big sledding hill – but then he can carry his own sled to the top.)
We spent the afternoon playing in the snow!
Blackmail material for later in life.
(And he put it on with no encouragement from me.)
In the last few weeks Alex has learned to pout. It starts with ducking the head and then that lower lip comes out.
(It takes everything I have not to laugh.)
Tour Club was at Buddy Squirrel today – yum!
Today Alex discovered something even better about hotels – cartoons in bed.
Cousins (Alex, Katrina, and Tyler)
The last time they were together was 2.5 years ago (see here).
Getting a little help from Heather with his “I Spy Game”.
Alex has been asking to go swimming for weeks. A hotel with a pool was a dream come true!
Now this is the way to fly with a 3 year old!
Sometime between Saturday (at Asher’s Birthday Party) and today Alex learned how to make a silly face.
He almost looks like a real soccer player.
Airplane!
Alex colored his entire shape book pink. That’s my boy!
Alex was in our bed playing while Wade and I were getting ready for church. I finally told him he had to get out so I could make the bed. I gave him the option of getting in his bed and he immediately ran to his crib and wanted a book. It took a lot of convincing to get him out 20 minutes later to get dressed for church.
Ready. Set. Go!
Zoo class today – Lions Roar!
Another awesome birthday present!
Alex has always been a pretty good eater. Over the last few weeks I have learned he is an amazing eater if we read books during lunch. He’s obviously paying more attention to the book than what he is putting in his mouth.
Alex couldn’t wait to get home from MDO and check out his Valentines (and the candy inside).
Aunt Lissy, we love the marble run!
Alex loves having his grandparents in town. He always has a “yes” response to “come play with me”.
Happy 3rd birthday Alex!
Unexpected snow.
(I borrowed the idea for the picture from a friend – see here)
Alex is in heaven. Gam arrived (with new books) and will read as long as he asks.
Alex and Abby watching the “real” soccer players.
Alex is fascinated with his handprint and I find it everywhere – this is the refrigerator door.
Craft time at Yo Mama.
To keep the kids entertained during the Super Bowl we popped in Finding Nemo. It worked. We didn’t hear a peep.
Alex woke up from a 3.5 hour nap full of energy and incredibly happy. He’s still like that after errands, dinner out, and a shower. Here’s hoping he goes to sleep without problems.
Wade is teaching Alex the fine art of grilling steaks (the first step being seasoning).
Alex had his first soccer “practice” tonight.
