Granny and Pop arrived today!
Alex
Part of the bedtime routine.
Alex recently realized there were new games on my iPad (bought for Teague and the long flight home). He’s been begging to play for days and I finally gave in.
Alex was determined to pick our pumpkins and pull them in the cart.
(Which was a huge help because I was pushing the stroller.)
How nice to run into a friend from church at the park!
B had the best toys!
(I was cleaning the basement out a few weeks ago and found this service station that belonged to my Dad as a little boy. My Meme was great about saving his toys and I have quite a few of them.)
It’s universal. All little boys love garbage trucks.
Alex wanted to be in charge of pushing Teague’s stroller on our walk tonight.
Alex has been enjoying his kindermusik class, but his favorite part might be the new book he gets to borrow each week.
Big brother haircut to show Teague it’s no big deal.
Best friends having deep discussions (or playing Batmobile).
My Mom’s birthday is in a few days so we planned to celebrate before she left town. Alex couldn’t wait to open the presents and then had a lot of fun with the tissue paper. This is his “beard”.
The boys got a special treat tonight. The “hit” cartoon in Korea is Pororo and we had a few English episodes on Wade’s iPad.
Alex and Abram decided to “hide” in the window wells. Silly boys.
Alex was really excited and made a sign for meeting us at the airport. Then we changed our flight and came in after he was in bed.

Alex loves Daddy’s “lipstick”.

Gam took Alex to the toy store and he chose a mop.

Last picture of us as a family of three.
Gam and Alex dropped us off at the airport this morning.
After “forting” (Alex’s verb for making a fort), we were informed it wasn’t for playing, but for reading.
Wade took this picture. Anyone surprised?
We always read books before naptime and Madison normally joins us on the rug.
Last hugs before Daddy leaves on a business trip.
Alex had a really hard time waking up from his nap today.
A picnic dinner – one of our favorite ways to eat.
Somebody stole my chips.
Family movie night.
Wade was very groggy waking up from anesthesia (he had a torn meniscus repaired), but the first thing he wanted was a hug from Alex.
Best friends having a “cheers” moment at lunch.
(This reminds me of the picture of Abram and Alex two years ago here.)
Alex loves his new iPad game – Elmo’s Monster Maker.
“I’ll protect you Tabit.”
Alex amused himself this morning while I cooked.
Our church was having a chili cook-off I needed to prepare for!
Picking out a project to do with Daddy.
This boy still loves his shower – and isn’t bothered a bit by water in his face.
Alex loves to get a new magazine in the mail. We read it over and over and over…
Two things to note in this picture.
1.) The loveys sitting in a row behind Alex. This is his solution to not having enough room in the bed. I tried to make a two lovey limit at bedtime but got over-ruled.
2.) Alex has become a master at delaying. Here he is saying “But Mom, one more thing.”
First day of School (3 year old class).
The pool closes today so we had to squeeze in one more visit.
Learning how to fix a bike chain.
Being silly – with Daddy’s help.
Alex spent all morning changing tires at the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum.
We are dog sitting Abbie for the weekend and Alex can’t get enough of “playing with the dogs”.
Funny because he rarely wants to play with Madison – only antagonize her.
Taking a bike ride on the lake front.
Alex got this tractor in December of 2010. He has loved playing on it, but always had to be pushed. Today he mastered the pedals on the tractor!
Not much has changed since January.
Arrgh. It’s a pirate’s lunch for us.
Books before nap.
Alex loves driving the “Barbie Jeep” and hopped in the minute we got to Gam’s.
My instructions to Alex were – go sit on the couch or the rug.
(I was mopping the floors and wanted to keep footprints from appearing.)
