One last day of fun before Pop brings these boys home.
Teague managed to squeeze in another bike ride with Aunt Emmie before she had to leave.
Teague found a biking partner in Aunt Emmie.
Teague is not only a Lego building machine at home, but he uses Wade’s old Legos while in Collierville.
One of the boys favorite activities to do when they visit Memphis is to visit the farm and practice their driving.
Pop found an awesome arcade place for the boys and I hear they had a great time visiting today.
Alex and Teague are spending a week in Memphis with Granny and Pop. Wade flew them down early this morning. They arrived around lunch time and were treated to a rib meal at Wade’s favorite restaurant and then a few sight-seeing adventures while they downtown.
Lazy summer days.
Today I walked in to find Teague wearing the pig ears while reading a book. What is going on in this house?
Summer day chaos.
Just rambling around outside today.
Teague has had quite a renewed interest in Legos the last few months.
Today we started our drive for home – 12.5 hours planned for the first day.
It appears the cousins have officially outgrown the porch swing.
Introducing the Srouds to the county club pool.
I never want to forget how stubborn this child can be. Teague can hold on to a “mad” like nobody else I know. Part of it drives me nuts and part of me loves it because it makes it him.
These three – always causing trouble.
We tried an early picnic lunch. It was manageable, but still pretty toasty!
Teague has always known how to take a good jumping picture!
Bingo – round two
Obviously he’s an old pro at all things pool related.
(For the really observant, Ben also changes clothes numerous times a day – pajamas and clothes)
My kids normally get to plan out their birthday day. Kaitlyn had a little bit of a different birthday since we were on vacation. She had been quite bummed when she first learned we would be celebrating her birthday while at the Cape so we made it all better with a promised trip to Chuck E. Cheese.
(Note that Ben is holding strong with the mismatched shoes.)
Today was catch-up day around the house – groceries, laundry, etc. When I got to the ironing, I offered to let the kids join me while I watched a movie. We watched the new movie, “Sea Beast” on Netflix and we were all entertained.
I think Teague has been missing his naps while we were on vacation.
All three chose blue striped bathing suits today – and so did Kaitlyn and Wade. I should have gotten a picture of everyone together.
These two can create a game anywhere out of anything.
Ninja Warrior on the beach.
Hiking in Cape Cod.
We all immediately fell in love with Cape Cod.
Those who have passed their swim tests can play at the floating dock. The boys were kind enough to show off with cannon balls for my picture.
Teague used some of his Amazon money to buy the next two books in one of his favorite series. (He has read them multiple, multiple times before when he checks them out from the library.)
These two decided to make cinnamon donuts together. Some moments were great. Some moments were a little tense.
Teague has been spending a lot more time downstairs and now makes a nest of books wherever he goes.
We’ve been watching Obi-Wan Kenobi and most of us are thoroughly enjoying it.
We attended our first baseball game in ages – maybe since Alex was a newborn.
The first group hike of summer. And the first snack of 5,439.
Everybody loves when Daddy pulls out funny videos at dinnertime.
For the first time ever, Teague decided to take the swim test. (Of course he passed)
- He’s holding up his arm to show the green band that shows he passed.
- Now he can swim out at the floating dock with the big kids
Teague refused to join us outside so this is a picture from outside looking in on Teague through the window.
Happy Father’s Day!
