Notice anything? Look closely (at her hands).
Kaitlyn is wearing mittens and not screaming!!
I’ll admit there were tears initially, but when she realized she couldn’t get them off she quickly forgot about them and then didn’t get unhappy because her hands were cold.
Major thanks to these awesome mittens – not only do they keep snow out but prove impossible for Kaitlyn to get off herself.
Kaitlyn
Someone tried really hard to tickle our toes and make taking the next picture almost impossible.
Tree decorator (and hopefully not a destroyer).
Waiting patiently for her dinner – scrambled eggs.
Cousins on Thanksgiving.
This probably would have happened much more smoothly and sooner if we had realized she emptied her entire bottle of water into her carseat instead of drinking it.
Teamwork.
So far I have Kaitlyn wearing a hat and a scarf. Occasionally boots go on without an issue. Mittens are still a huge fight.
Loving her baby.
The happiest picture of Kaitlyn in the snow – taken in the first 20 seconds.
Some days you just don’t feel like a picture.
(Or that’s how 2/3 feel.)
Sometimes that bow just doesn’t do it’s job.
She wanted to wear Alex’s coat, and why not?
Girl on a mission.
Post nap.
She’s already trying to claim Alex’s work as her own.
Just a little morning reading.
We attended “Cookies with Clifford” tonight at Alex’s school. Kaitlyn wouldn’t leave Clifford alone. She wanted to hug him, touch his nose, and have him pick her up.
(The poor teenage boy inside was a wonderful sport.)
My kids have always loved apples. But at the current rate we go through about 6-7 a day….
Water bottle thief.
This little monkey wanted to try an obstacle course today.
Quality time with Pop and Elmo.
Alex seems to end up in a “Full-fledged Burch lock” quite a bit. The other two were trying to help him escape.
Bedtime books with Granny.
Let indoor soccer begin.
It has been impossible to keep Kaitlyn off the kitchen table. I’ve tried moving the kitchen chairs away from the table and she just moves them closer and then climbs. Tonight they were pushed all the way into the table (which evidently never happens at our house) and she seemed quite confused and unhappy with the results.
She heard “pizza” for dinner and ran to the oven.
There is something about a baby playing with babies.
Kaitlyn loves the game cabinet. She created this in less than the 5 minutes it took me to change out a load of laundry.
I was trying not to use baby locks in the playroom, but maybe it’s time.
What everyone looked like on a cold, rainy Halloween – before coats.
Halloween Costume Picture.
Our first cold morning.
(Someone really doesn’t like mittens, or hoods, or hats.)
She has moved on from Tupperware to pots and pans.
Kaitlyn is used to taking a shower with me. It causes problems when I need to take a quick one alone. Today she was reasonably well entertained with the jar of hair rubber bands while I sneaked a shower.
Notice Kaitlyn’s green hand and those pretty drips on her dress?
I’m hoping she found a green gumball in the vending machine tray and didn’t learn to crank the knob. Either way she got all the color off the shell and a few bites before we realized what she why she was so quiet.
Wade was back from his travels. The kids and I were back from Kentucky. We finished unloading the car to find that Kaitlyn can now climb onto the top of the table.
Japanese take-out anyone?
Pumpkin patch in the rain.
(Not as bad as it sounds.)
Cousins sharing scrambled eggs.
Five little cousins crumbing bread to go feed the ducks.
(Well, four cousins are crumbling bread. Kaitlyn is just eating.)
Late night road trip to KY.
She was rather proud of herself for getting in, but quickly got mad she couldn’t get out.
When they put a huge culvert in your front yard, you must play in it.
(And Mom must take a few pictures.)
This year’s pumpkin carving and costume party crew.
She has no clue…
They had a little trouble sharing. Teague wanted to draw. Kaitlyn wanted to dump water on the mat – which would have meant no drawing.
The boys wanted to help me put Kaitlyn down for her morning nap instead of get dressed for school.
(That worked out really well…)
She was quite insistent on which animals Teague should feed next.
Doesn’t everyone carry around a bag of broccoli like a purse?
Poor Alex. This is what it looks like every night as he tries to get homework done.
I heard a persistent ding coming from the boys’ computer. I rounded the corner to find Kaitlyn happily playing where she shouldn’t have been.
