Alex loves his new Valentine’s Day decorations.
(Thanks for the idea Amber!)
Alex
I can now say I’ve put Alex in a bubble….
Moose had to take a bath today. Alex substituted with Frog, Bear, and Pup.
I was cleaning small handprints off the TV. When Alex saw the paper towels he immediately wanted to “wash”.
Alex had a good time playing in the snow – until the very end.
(More pictures here.)
Wade has pneumonia and Alex has a bug. We’re no fun today.
Now we have a few people to drive all the trucks.
Checking out the frogs at Museum.
Playing telephone with Daddy.
Today Alex finally discovered a use for mittens. He has been pitching a fit any time I try to put them on him. Today he got really cold while shoveling and I convinced him to give them a try. Success!
Alex loves Abram’s new jackhammer!
I was cleaning up the kitchen from breakfast when I realized Alex was saying “lunch” “lunch”. He had his bag and was ready to leave for Mother’s Day Out. I think we both missed it the last two weeks.
Building. Building. Building.
Family snuggle.
Alex’s current favorite animal – “puppy”.
Flying into the new year (Thanks Mike!)
Everybody loves Alex’s new tunnel.
Best dog – ever!
Always happiest in the bath!
Helping Daddy put together the new “wheelbrr”.
Worn out from Christmas and traveling, but finally home.
Buddy helps Alex with his new guitar.
B and Laura surprised Alex and Leo with ponies!
B took Alex to drive diggers.
(That is not B helping Alex drive.)
Morning stories with Gram.
The backseat on our drive to Kentucky.
Alex got a much needed haircut!
We opened presents as a family last night and today. Alex gave Wade a new bath toy (Wade always gives Alex his bath). Alex has been saying “bath” and “pajamas” since noon today. Now he is finally in the bath and loves his new toy.
Wade gets up with Alex on Saturday mornings and they play while I sleep in.
Alex got two new books today. We’ve read them over and over and over.
Today was Abram’s birthday and we went over for cake. Abram got a few gifts and Alex promptly tried to take over.
This year we are using basket presents as a count-down to leaving for Kentucky.
Time outs are no fun.
Alex has wanted to hold Tabit all afternoon. She finally sat still long enough for a quick cuddle and a picture.
Two pots, a measuring cup, three measuring spoons, and a bag of black-eyed peas have been the entertainment of choice the last two days.
Best buddies.
Alex does not like the snow this year – at all. He cries if it touches any part of him (shoes included) or he sees it on anyone else.
All games at our house are group activities.
Alex was having a blast playing with my pillows this morning.
He pitched quite a fit when I insisted we needed to get dressed.
Alex thought dinner was taking too long to cook. He put the potholder on and then kept yelling “help”. He knows he has to be sitting on the rug when the oven door is opened so I’m not sure what was coming after “help”.
The last few days Alex has been dragging my step stool to the ktichen island. He climbs up and immediately searches for this particular coupon. The entire time saying “Thomas”. How does he know? There isn’t a train on the coupon and he obviously isn’t reading yet.
Alex loved the two train tables at Abram’s birthday party.
We may need one at our house before too long.
Christmas cookies are a great treat!
Alex loves to help me cook dinner.
(He has water in his pan and no heat anywhere near.)
Morning nap is over! Let’s play!
Alex has carried his new fireman nutcracker all day. Thanks Abram!
Anytime I try to sneak away to check my email, Alex quickly brings his “computer” over and wants to work too.
Alex is entertaining himself while I cook dinner.
On our long drive home we played a game of peek-a-boo. I would ask, “Where’s Alex?” Alex would respond with “Alex”. Anytime he wanted to play he would start yelling “Alex” and I would turn around to see the blankets over his head. This is the first time he has said “Alex” so I’m not sure if he realizes it is his name or just how we play the game.
Waffles for breakfast!
