Just chilling. (Yes, we do eat a lot of apples around this house.)
Alex
I’m not ready for Alex to figure out the step-stool.
Very interested in watching this thing called Pumpkin Carving, but not interested in touching the inside of a pumpkin.
Riding on the East Troy Electric Railroad (and loving it)!
Some days you just need a good cry.
(Nothing was making him happy so I got out my camera.)
He’ll still want to do this when he is older, right?
Alex loves pumpkins. He gets really excited whenever he sees one and promptly says “monkey”, which is how he pronounces both pumpkin and monkey.
Raking leaves just to make a pile for jumping.
I sent Alex into the living room to eat his grapes while I made lunch. I walked in to find him sitting like this.
(I recently realized I sit on the coffee table quite a bit and Alex has been trying to climb up with me. I guess he figured it out.)
Eating a McDonald’s cheeseburger while watching Thomas the Train.
(Don’t judge me. Wade has been gone since Friday morning and doesn’t get home till Tuesday night.)
Lazy Saturday morning.
We visited a farm today and Alex loved the animals – especially the baby goats.
Eating apples is dangerous. It is best to be safe and wear a helmet.
(Abram’s bike helmet ended up at our house and Alex wants to wear it constantly.)
And now we love hats. I can’t keep up.
Alex is practicing his Trick-or-Treating (or just playing in his pajamas – you pick).
Alex loves to play with his choo choos.
Alex has been saying the word “fire” for quite a while. This weekend he finally learned what it means. Wade let him “help” light the grill. Now Alex will point to the grill and say “fire”.
Isn’t fall fun?
Warm temperatures made a surprise return today. Alex and Abram took full advantage.
Yup, he’s definitely our son. Building things already.
At this point Alex can clearly say the word “more”, but we still encourage him to use sign language. I just love to see those little fingers come together for “more”.
Helping Daddy grill for dinner.
Alex learns how to build a fire.
Morning snuggles.
Aunt Lissy shows Alex how to have fun on the porch swing.
Alex loves the lion that lives in B’s (my Dad’s) living room.
Alex was so proud of his passenger (even if she only lasted a few seconds).
Best friend hugs.
Some days you just don’t want a bath.
Alex, Tabit, and Madison – my in-home entertainment.
Alex has it made. Daddy is holding his milk and feeding him cookies while watching football.
Visiting a pumpkin patch.
Hanging out on the front porch waiting for Daddy to get home.
Daddy tickling time.
This picture needs a soundtrack. The horn makes a loud noise when you blow on it. Alex loves to have me make the sound. Today he put the horn in his mouth, but couldn’t figure out how to blow. Instead he tried to imitate the sound with his throat. Hilarious!
Abram has a water bottle very similar to this one so this one is Alex’s favorite.
If he were any older, I would say Alex is taunting Madison. Alex loves to eat an entire apple (no slices, please), but he doesn’t like the skin. He takes a bite, eats off the inside, and then spits out the skin. Today I taught him to give Madison the leftover skin pieces instead of putting them on the floor.
Alex loves to give hugs and we love to get them.
Very determined to get up the hill on his four-wheeler. He ended up flipping it over on himself (don’t worry, I caught him before he hit the ground) and he still never let go of the handles.
Abram takes Alex for a ride in the Monster Truck at Chuck E. Cheese
Alex loves to play in the sunroom and comes running anytime he hears me opening the door.
These two definitely don’t feel fall in the air. (The boys are sopping wet if you can’t tell by the picture.)
First day in the One Year Old class at Mother’s Day Out.
Feeding Madison treats. A favorite activity for both Alex and Madison.
Alex has tried suckers twice before. Once he got a lick from Abram’s. The second time he sucked enough to break the stick but didn’t actually get to eat the candy. Today he started and finished a tootsie pop.
(Of course the experience was shared with Abram. More pictures here.)
Alex took a nap on each of our two flights today. This particular nap he fell asleep in Wade’s lap (which is remarkable by itself) before takeoff and we had to wake him up after we arrived at the gate.
Alex was a little impatient for dinner and decided to start with a lemon.
Checking out the slides at Larabee State Park.
Hiking in the North Cascades National Park.
Enjoying a blueberry cupcake at Katie’s Cupcakes.
