Ben and I stayed in our awesome Airbnb alone last night. All of the other kiddos had sleepovers last night (as is usual). The plan for the day was to meet up at Hoyt pool, spend most of the day there, and then for the moms to go out to dinner while Nicki’s husband watched all of the kids. (We’ll submit his nomination for sainthood soon.)
The big boys always have trouble coming up with things they find entertaining. They have no interest in doing the activities we plan or that are fun for the entire group. Hoyt Pool is no exception. I always push for a trip to the pool (even if we only walk in to take pictures) but the big boys were not excited.
They agreed to a picture but they did it teenager style – refusing to take off t-shirts and only removing shoes upon motherly threats. Alex did spend the rest of the day in the pool but the other two sat on their phones all day and didn’t get a drop of water on them. Here’s hoping it’s a phase. The other kids had a great time.
