As Ben has grown and passed milestones, I haven’t had any problems letting go of items or clothing. I have felt a sense of freedom in passing on bouncy seats, bottles, baby toys, etc. However, I am having a lot of trouble when it comes to books. For the last six months, I have noticed that Ben rarely chooses the board books.
I tried to clean them out once before, but I wasn’t ready to let them go. Very, very few of ours are in good enough condition to keep or pass on. Most of ours have been well loved for 13 years. A few of them were new to Ben, but very few. Our favorites are held together with a hope and a prayer.
I found today I was finally ready to sort and clean them out. Thankfully there is a bin in our community that takes books of all kinds to be recycled or reused.
