I had thought this post would be about our Valentine’s activities. Instead the most memorable part of the day happened after dinner. My mom wanted to treat us to dinner and the kids chose sushi. As we were cleaning up, Kaitlyn was dancing around the kitchen with her chopsticks and managed to impale herself. It was deep enough I decided we should at least get it checked out at the ER. We spent several hours there before Kaitlyn got several stitches and a new stuffed animal. She was a champ and handled it really well. The only part I could have done without is when she told the staff that she had been there before and knew exactly what to do. (She even told them all about the stuffed animal she got last time…)
