When we left our old house I left a wonderful spice cabinet (an old converted built-in ironing board cabinet). My current solution had been to shove all my spices in a drawer and then hunt and hunt when I needed a specific spice. For Christmas Wade had given me labels for the tops of my jars (see here), which went a long way to making spice hunting much easier. Then he told me the bigger part of my gift was a custom built drawer insert to hold the jars in place. After two attempts (the first didn’t hold enough jars – that’s what happens when you assume), and a lot of drilling holes, I have an awesome spice drawer!!!
