Alex has wanted to be helpful all day. Before I got out of bed, he had swept the floor and prepped the steam mop. I let him mop till his heart was content (knowing he got maybe 30% of the floor but was so proud!)
Then he wanted to help with Kaitlyn. He entertained her, ran to her when she cried, and begged to give her a bottle. (The only part of her care he had no interest in was a diaper change.)
The sweetest moment came as he was getting ready for bed. He had heard Wade and I talking about getting up in the middle of the night to feed Kaitlyn and he wanted to do it for us. He asked for us to set out a bottle where he could reach it and leave his door cracked so he could take care of her and we could sleep. Sweet boy!
