Wade and I are left today for the SEC tournament in Nashville. We go every year to watch some basketball and spend time with my family. Granny and Pop arrived this morning to stay with the boys and Wade and I left on a flight a few hours later.
Alex immediately had a “plan” for the first evening with Granny and Pop. He suggested a fire for roasting marshmallows. Granny said that would be fine if Pop could make a fire and there were marshmallows in the house. Alex proceeded to climb up on the counter, get the magnet for the child locks, unlock the drawer, and point out the marshmallows. He also assured Granny he knew how to make a fire and could tell Pop what to do – which is exactly true. He watches Mom and Dad do it almost every night.
