Teague loved riding around in Grant’s car.
(Good thing he is getting one for his birthday.)
Teague
Sleeping so sweetly.
Second day of no bottles – thank goodness for soft spout sippy cups.
Best Buds (at least in Teague’s eyes).
Book reading.
The black eye is healing up nicely.
Brothers – dressed and ready for Friendsgiving.
Brothers slowly waking up after nap.
Why does Teague choose Tuesdays and Thursdays to take an extra long nap? Those are the days I have to wake him up to go get Alex.
Our little guy was not happy to miss out on a bath tonight.
(Wade normally gets drenched at bath time and decided one boy in the tub tonight was enough.)
Teague loves fruit pouches and I think they make a great snack. He can also reach them and it is a way for him to tell me he’s hungry.
Alex has not wanted anything to do with them until Teague started loving them. Silly boys. Now they both love to grab them from the pantry.
Bike riding – with a passenger.
Kisses (or “mmwah” as Teague calls it).
Family trip to the dog park.
At Bug in a Rug theater for Little Red Riding Hoodie
(Note that Froggy joined us – in boxer shorts and a scarf)
Teague loves to watch himself in the mirror while I brush his teeth.
Happy Halloween.
Now everybody has house shoes.
Brothers.
Too stereotypical?
(The chopsticks came with Teague from his foster mother and we were told he knew how to use them.)
Teague was great at the pumpkin carving party. He wanted to be held but didn’t seem to care who was holding him.
I am not really a pasta person (especially spaghetti and messy pastas). I made spaghetti casserole and Teague loved it. He ate it single strand by single strand. Then he finished up Alex’s plate too.
Bedtime. (All “woof woofs” are in bed and accounted for.)
Best shirt – ever!
(Thanks Nicki and Amber)
Teague had his first visit with our pediatrician today. At 20 months he is 35.5 inches tall (98%) and 29 lb and 7.5 oz (around 80%).
(The doctor said if he stays on this growth curve he would end up about 6’3″)
Teague learned to give kisses today.
Teague loves cars, but real cars. He gets much more excited about a car driving down the street than a toy car. He also prefers this book, which pictures real cars, to cartoon-type pictures.
My sons definitely love Mexican food as much as I do.
We made a trip to the Delafield Play Gallery. Teague and Glenna were at least a little aware of each other.
It was a rainy day so we used the new blanket from Aunt Lissy as a cape!
Teague learned to play peek-a-boo today (or rather to respond to the English words).
Teague is starting to copy Alex (and Alex copies Teague too).
Today Alex got all of us a soccer ball – sized according to our height.
Teague is definitely a thumb sucker – but only when he is tired.
Don’t tell Alex, but we spent the evening cuddling on the couch and watching tv.
(Alex is spending the night with Granny and Pop in the hotel.)
Wade got this bike out of the attic for Teague. He hopped on and started making circles around the house.
Teague loves music and today discovered the guitars.
One of the items in Teague’s last care package was a recordable book from Hallmark. Wade and I recorded ourselves reading alternative pages. It was the only item from the care packages that Teague’s foster mother returned. It is also currently both Teague and Alex’s favorite book.
Bear with me. I’m sure I’ll get tired of these shots eventually.
Teague will eat anything, but refuses to drink milk. His foster mother told us he still got three bottles of formula a day. I’m experimenting to see how I can transition him to milk in a sippy cup. My latest attempt is all milk with a single scoop of formula (opposed to 5.5) in a bottle. We got to the doctor on Friday and I’m hoping for more suggestions.
Teague is still a little unsure of the leaf piles I keep putting him in.
Teague created his own “seat” for the football game.
I have the feeling we will be seeing a lot more of this. Teague absolutely loves the animals. (I caught him in the same pose with Tabit earlier in the day.)
It’s universal. All little boys love garbage trucks.
When Teague got quiet, I sent Alex to find him. Alex reported back that Teague was laying down and sucking his thumb – normally only done at nap time or nighttime. I quickly went to investigate and found this.
Teague loves to eat – anything! He couldn’t wait to try some of Alex’s popcorn.
First haircut (in the US).
Teague has no interest in loveys, but carried around Wade’s portable cell phone charger all evening.
We are learning more about Teague and his personality all the time. We’ve decided he must have been clapped for quite a bit. He loves to hear “yay” and will immediately begin to clap.
The boys got a special treat tonight. The “hit” cartoon in Korea is Pororo and we had a few English episodes on Wade’s iPad.
Teague seems to be adjusting to life in Milwaukee just fine.
