Remote controlled items were the thing to get in our house this year.

Introducing a narrator and what rehearsal for the Christmas pageant looked like at the church today.
Introducing Joseph and what rehearsal for the Christmas pageant looked like at the church today.
In a rare turn of events, Alex joined us for a little TV tonight.
Waiting for the bus on a rainy day.
Leftover, cold pizza – all my kids love it for lunch.
Choir concert for the middle school!
After school routine – homework for Teague and reading/math practice on the iPad for Kaitlyn.
Ben arranged his cars and then requested the picture.
Alex decided to get creative with my leftover puff pastry scraps. He chopped, buttered, sugared, and cooked them. He also gave them an awesome name that I can’t quite remember. They weren’t bad..
We’ve been watching a lot of family TV lately – favorites are Lego masters and masked singer.
Kaitlyn loves this advent calendar and gets very frustrated when Ben messes with the characters when she isn’t around.
These cars have been around since Alex’s toddler days and they are still a favorite.
Practicing situps for PE. Alex is full of complaints for this class, but he definitely is putting some effort into practicing.
And he’s down…
Kaitlyn is a creature of habit. Every morning she has the same thing for breakfast – toast (in the fall her favorite is Pepperidge farm pumpkin bread – which we buy up for the winter months), apples or strawberries, and water (she is my only non-milk drinking child.
Ben is still taking 3 hour naps. He would probably sleep longer, but I cut him off at 4 pm in hopes that he goes to bed at the same time as the big kids (and it usually works). Most days he is agreeable when I wake him up, but occasionally he’s grumpy till I mention milk.
We got snow! Of course Alex walked to school with no coat.
The bugs floating around finally hit our house. Teague was definitely sick today. Alex was sick over the weekend. Here’s hoping it stops there. We’ve rarely had a sick child and definitely don’t tend to have multiple people sick at a time.
Kaitlyn is always willing to help me restock the pantry shelves.
These kids and their iPads crack me up…
It has been months and months since Alex joined in on Saturday morning cartoons.
Alex came home from school saying he didn’t feel well and spent most of the night laying around moaning.
Teague was trying to convince me he could man the check-in table at Movie Night.
Kaitlyn loving on Cornelius at Movie Night.
Ben was excited to help prep for Movie Night at the school.
Unfortunately the only picture I got of this event was blurry, but it was such a cute memory. Wade was working late and didn’t join us for dinner. Alex decided to entertain us all and created a new game. He asked everybody to name two unrelated items. For the above picture Kaitlyn named a belt and a human. Alex would then find a way to link the items. In this instance he was proving that they could both be worn. Everyone at the table was thoroughly entertained throughout dinner.
Waiting for the bus – a typical Thursday.
Ben is loving his new racetrack.
Cookies coming right up.
We got a new game and these two love it.
Typical big brother behavior – at least at our house.
Evening brother time.
These two were really excited about Kanga’s (the elf’s) hiding spot this morning.
I came downstairs this morning to find Kaitlyn on the couch reading her book. I love when my kids turn into bookworms.
Ben loves his new sunglasses – they even fit over his glasses!
