Typical evening – laundry, reading, kids, etc.
Ben
The face of a teething baby – who won’t take a pacifier.
Ben got a nap while I cooked dinner.
Easter bunny visit.
Ben’s finally figured out how to make his fingers work for him.
Evidently Ben needed a little makeup today.
Evidently Ben is going to be another child of mine that sticks his tongue out while concentrating.
“Don’t worry Ben. It’ll be okay. I’ll be your best friend.”
Someone in the house has a new skill. Ben can now roll over.
Ben has been practicing rolling onto his side. I’m guessing he’ll roll all the way over soon.
The kids were so excited to have a babysitter that they put on their pajamas at 4 pm.
Ben got creative and used his clasped hands to move his car into the right spot for chewing.
Big sister was here.
(Ben doesn’t seem impressed.)
The last few mornings Ben has been awake when I needed to head to the bus stop so I have taken him with me. By the time we get back to the house he is asleep. I put him on the kitchen table and did a few things in the kitchen waiting for him to wake up. Two hours later he had had a great nap and my kitchen was sparkling.
New baby milestone – clasping hands together.
(And then Ben tries to put both hands in his mouth)
My dinner helper.
I’m going to call it a win just because everyone is looking at the camera.
This rockstar decided to sleep from 8 pm to 6 am (without any real encouragement from Mom).
He’s close to outgrowing his bassinet.
Brothers bonding.
Tummy time with a friend.
I realized today I have absolutely no idea the last time Ben was bathed. Poor fourth child.
We do all the things wrong with baby sleeping but he sleeps!
Some days there is an audience when you wake up from your nap.
Today we went on a belated Birthday adventure to Providence, RI. Ben was awesome for our trip and didn’t need out of his carseat once.
Finally Ben can hold his head up enough for the Bumbo. Now he can join in our crazy activities a little more.
Ben is the most expressive of my children at this age. He just has to see your face and he breaks out in the biggest smiles and coos.
Ben.
Brothers.
A dog and his boy.
Ben got to be one of the big kids today and watch morning cartoons.
Granny and Ben obviously got together on their outfit choices today.
Group snuggle.
I think he’s a little confused by all the birthdays and celebrations the last week but he wears the hat like a champ.
Big sister was here.
Ben has discovered his hands and that he has some control over them. He will slowly raise up his right arm and then stare at it for a while – then eventually hitting a toy or chewing on his fingers.
Napping.
Teague had a little fun playing with Ben this morning.
Madison has been very confused since I moved Ben’s monkey into the kitchen. She assumes it is a pillow for her but I keep putting a baby in her spot.
Again with the hand in the mouth. No actual thumb sucking yet.
Hamming it up for the camera.
She read to him all morning while I folded laundry.
Morning books.
Happy Birthday Alex!
(They may not look happy but they were annoyed I took them away from Birthday celebrations for a picture.)
These feet don’t look particularly big. They definitely aren’t thick or wide. However, I had to move Ben up in clothing sizes with footed feet. His feet were too long for the clothes.
1:43 pm
Just hanging with Daddy.
I was cooking dinner and looked over to see that Ben put himself to sleep tonight.
