Alex’s bath squirt toys have passed the point of being cleanable. I bought some new ones today and put the container in the bathroom till time for bath. Alex found the toys and played with them for most of the afternoon.
When it was time for bath and I put them in the water, he had a fit and tossed them out. Evidently he did not think they were bath toys.
Month: December 2010
The last few days Alex has been dragging my step stool to the ktichen island. He climbs up and immediately searches for this particular coupon. The entire time saying “Thomas”. How does he know? There isn’t a train on the coupon and he obviously isn’t reading yet.
Tabit is always into everything. I was trying to wrap presents the other day and looked over to see this. Tabit got herself into the bag and then managed to tip it right-side up:
Tabit has adopted this pig as her toy. It was actually a gift to my brother-in-law, but he graciously let Tabit have it. The pig “oinks” when you squeeze it’s sides. It always makes me do a double take when I am alone in the house and suddenly hear the pig oinking.
In addition to being playful, Tabit is also an excellent snuggler. If anyone sits on the couch she immediately appears and settles into your lap.
Alex loved the two train tables at Abram’s birthday party.
We may need one at our house before too long.
Abram had his birthday part at the Delafield Children’s Play Gallery. We’ve been here before and always have a great time. For a fairly small space they have a plethora of activities that children of all ages can enjoy!
Wade’s company has a Christmas breakfast every year with Santa. This is the first year we’ve attended and we were surprised a the number of people! Alex was a little overwhelmed, but seemed to enjoy watching all the kids and trying out the sweets:
Christmas cookies are a great treat!
Alex loves to help me cook dinner.
(He has water in his pan and no heat anywhere near.)
Alex knows….
Wade and I decided to make Alex a set of blocks for Christmas. We used scrap wood (of all types) that Wade had accumulated over the years. We started with a pile of wood like this:
After a lot of cutting, sanding, and oiling we have 60 various shaped blocks:
Now the blocks are wrapped and under the tree waiting for Christmas:
Morning nap is over! Let’s play!
Alex has carried his new fireman nutcracker all day. Thanks Abram!
