Teague

Teague had quite the dilemma. He couldn’t decide whether to suck his thumb or admire his cars band-aid.

Teague’s been a little sick the last few days. I turned around this morning to find him quite worn out.

Saturday.

Teague wakes up with the rosiest cheeks.

Snack sharing.

It was actually my snack in the bowl, but Teague kept helping himself.

Teague has never showing much interest in loveys. We leave a few in his crib and he will occasionally give them a hug, but today he wanted to bring one downstairs with him. Shock!

We turned on some music and Teague wanted to play his guitar.

After Teague learned his body parts we taught him the equivalent on Mom and Dad. Then it occurred to us to teach him that animals also have the same. Now he loves to point to Madison’s eyes, nose, mouth, ears, etc. She’s normally pretty good about sitting through the lesson.

Everyone’s favorite activity in the evenings is to ride this bike (usually around the kitchen island) as I prepare dinner.

Teague had a rough night last night (we think he had a slight fever). He made up for it with today’s long nap – 5 hours.

Teague was momentarily intrigued by the play dough but quickly grew bored.

Bubble time.

Alex wanted to teach Teague the “booty bump” method of going down the stairs.

I had pulled out my sock drawer to do some sorting when Teague woke up. I forgot about it and got into other things. Teague discovered it and had quite a bit of fun.

Bath time is so fun!

All on his own Teague found this truck and it’s coordinating tool and got down to work. He didn’t quite manage to get the tire off, but he’s getting closer.

Ice cream was the perfect treat for everyone tonight!

Future vet?

Teague saw the big kids playing guitar and wanted a turn too.

The boys still love their baths and cars in the bath are even better.

Consider me impressed. Judy pulled out a vintage “little people” item I had never seen – the castle. Teague was convinced it was a garage (his newest word) for his car.

In the craziness of opening Alex’s presents, it took us a few minutes to realize Teague was just quietly sitting, staring at one of Alex’s unwrapped gifts. We opened it up for him and had to work hard to convince him to later leave the cars to open his presents.

Teague loves this car at my Dad’s house. He gets in it the minute we arrive and stays until we leave. Today he even figure out the horn.

Teague loves his new fire station. This morning he realized the garage door opens (notice the fingers peeping out).

Night road trip to KY.

Poor Teague. He definitely has somewhat sensitive skin. I ran out of his “good” eyepatches and had to use the free sample ones from the doctor. The patch was worn from 7:30-8:30 this morning. It is now 12 hours later and look at his skin. New ones are on the way!

Even the snow didn’t hold enough appeal to get a car out of Teague’s hands.

Most of our appliances don’t have a magnetic surface. The trashcan does and Teague entertained himself with magnets while I cooked dinner.

This is Teague’s second time at MDO’s Friday Fun Day. He seems to love it and should be ready in January when he starts “school” one day a week.

And now Teague is not only carrying around a car all day, but cars in a car.
