Birthdays are hard on a boy. A scratch to the nose and a big scratch on his chin.
Alex
Happy 2nd Birthday Alex!
Just like mom.
Enjoying the fire and being back in our own house!
Alex has been obsessed with this duck all day. Wade finally got it down for Alex to play with it and he immediately tried to ride it.
Alex loves to wear a tie – just like Daddy.
Daddy comes up with the best games!
Relaxing after a fun Saturday.
Doesn’t everyone nap with their hard hat on?
Playing peek-a-boo and eating string cheese.
Snow Day!! (15+ inches)
Alex loves to watch everyone clear their driveways after an overnight snowfall.
Alex loves my radio and is convinced the antenna is a microphone (which he uses by putting it in his mouth).
I can’t believe he’ll be two in a few weeks!
For several reasons cooking dinner wasn’t an option tonight. Instead we got Chinese – a favorite for everyone!
Best Friends.
Hello? Gram? Granny?
Water parks are fun!
A perfect match – crayons and a Thomas coloring book.
Alex loves to line up his cars and trucks on the windowsill, preferably behind the couch.
There’s football today? I’m ready!
Chick-fil-A has balloons too. Definitely the best place to eat!
Entertaining himself while I cook dinner.
Alex loves to help Daddy build a fire.
(Ignore the fact that we are burning scrap wood in order to clean the basement.)
Last week Alex learned that bread goes into a toaster and then goes pop. Now he asks for toast all day long by saying “bread” “toaster” “pop”. He’s averaging five pieces (give or take a couple) throughout the day.
Guess who got a new cup today (and then promptly destroyed it)?
Working on the farm, watching it snow.
One of my favorite days was when Alex learned to give hugs. His current favorite way to give Madison a hug is to head-butt her.
Alex loves his new Valentine’s Day decorations.
(Thanks for the idea Amber!)
I can now say I’ve put Alex in a bubble….
Moose had to take a bath today. Alex substituted with Frog, Bear, and Pup.
I was cleaning small handprints off the TV. When Alex saw the paper towels he immediately wanted to “wash”.
Alex had a good time playing in the snow – until the very end.
(More pictures here.)
Wade has pneumonia and Alex has a bug. We’re no fun today.
Now we have a few people to drive all the trucks.
Checking out the frogs at Museum.
Playing telephone with Daddy.
Today Alex finally discovered a use for mittens. He has been pitching a fit any time I try to put them on him. Today he got really cold while shoveling and I convinced him to give them a try. Success!
Alex loves Abram’s new jackhammer!
I was cleaning up the kitchen from breakfast when I realized Alex was saying “lunch” “lunch”. He had his bag and was ready to leave for Mother’s Day Out. I think we both missed it the last two weeks.
Building. Building. Building.
Family snuggle.
Alex’s current favorite animal – “puppy”.
Flying into the new year (Thanks Mike!)
Everybody loves Alex’s new tunnel.
Best dog – ever!
Always happiest in the bath!
Helping Daddy put together the new “wheelbrr”.
Worn out from Christmas and traveling, but finally home.
Buddy helps Alex with his new guitar.
