It’s never to early to learn about Legos.
Teague
A toy is never more interesting than after Mom puts it in the sell pile.
(In the last year this had been touched once. In the last two weeks it has been played with daily.)
Tickle fight.
Snuggles with Daddy.
These non-working games kept the boys entertained while Amanda and I talked.
Swim lessons.
Books in front of the fire.
Sharing a snack.
Swinging.
Teague has his hands full.
Yummy blue sucker.
Working on Christmas lists. (He was much more interested in helping Alex with his than working on his own.)
Sibling love.
These Lego blocks are our most fought over blocks. Both boys want all of them, all of the time.
(They have the name “flats” in our house.)
My grocery store helpers.
(This is before I realized two cans had rolled under Kaitlyn’s carseat and we had to go back inside to pay for them.)
They were beginning to do workbook pages as I cooked dinner.
Brothers.
He just wanted to hold her.
Happy Halloween
(from the car)
Anytime Teague is left alone with Kaitlyn he takes off her socks…
He’s hoping I won’t notice the pencil sharpener in his hands, which he is definitely not allowed to use.
(The pencils end up nubs by the time he is done.)
Sneaking a sip of Mom’s drink.
The boys finally found some leaves.
First lesson in cheese dip making. (It occurred to me today that the boys could help me open all the American cheese slices).
Stripes on stripes with a wagon of cars.
Doesn’t everyone sit on the coffee table to read?
(I do, which is definitely where he gets it.)
Just doing a little cleanup.
Daddy and Teague.
Books (about fairies).
I miss the Tosa recycling program. Here we have to sort it and then take it to a recycling facility. I have bins labeled with pictures in the garage and the boys are great about taking things to the correct bin for me.
Bedtime books.
Today Teague was finally allowed to love on Kaitlyn again.
Breakfast buddies.
I should count how many hours a day Teague play with Legos.
This one – always with his hands in his pockets.
These two…
I love library days.
I’m not sure what Alex was doing over my shoulder, but he got great laughs out of Teague and Kaitlyn.
Instead of reading books, Wade has been making up stories (with requested characters) for bedtime. Tonight the boys wanted another story about Emerald, Chitter, and Chatter – all fairies.
A little reading before bed.
I was in my basement office when I thought I heard footsteps upstairs. I assumed Teague was up from his nap and would come to my office like normal. I kept hearing footsteps and 15 minutes later went to check on him. He was quietly playing legos in the living room.
Teague’s new blue car has been in his pocket (during waking hours) for the last three days. We definitely don’t leave home without it.
Teague tried so hard to make tummy time fun for Kaitlyn. He even brought out his new blue cars.
B gave this blue viper to Teague and he hasn’t let go of it since – even to nap.
Harper and Teague were inseparable this weekend.
Cousins one month and one inch apart.
Chauffeuring his youngest cousin.
Teague had a huge tantrum in the car last night about 20 minutes from Paducah. He lost the privilege of riding in B’s silver car for the morning. He’s taking it pretty well, but he has sat next to the car all morning.
There’s nothing like making a 7 hour road trip and then taking two tired kids to Michael’s to pick up a few last minute supplies for a surprise party.
I just know Teague is thinking, “Really Mom? Another picture?”
