It’s amazing how his day improves with a new car shirt.
Teague
Look at that grip. The way he stays in the lines. He’s a natural.
We didn’t push a nap on Teague today so of course he took one on his own – in our closet floor at 4 pm.
A thank you note for one of Jerry’s friends.
(We love Leon’s Baloney and Sausage. Alex and Teague)
Bike races around Granny and Pop’s driveway.
These two got to ride a camel!
Teague is in heaven with a full-time personal reader this week. Thanks Pop.
A day on Pop’s farm.
Evidently Tennessee has a drive through Zoo (Tennessee Safari Park). The boys got buckets of food and were ready to feed the animals from the car!
Enjoying Granny and Pop’s church playground.
Evidently Teague was an unexpected champ at Jenga.
The boys took time out from cookie making to watch some basketball.
Gram and her munchkins.
Teague was trying to speed up our loading of the car. He was definitely anxious to see Gram today and Granny and Pop tomorrow.
It was a picnic at the park day.
I think she’s almost ready for a ride.
We discovered that Teague can give himself his medicine and suddenly it is much easier (and fun) for everyone involved.
The boys were really excited to open their last birthday gifts.
I saw them and thought – there goes my Saturday.
Teague has been making pretend sandwiches and trying to convince “Sonic” he is hungry.
Teague loves his new game (Take the Cake) and finally convinced Alex to play.
This is the the third time-out that has turned into a nap this week (and it is only Wednesday). I think we may return to naps and see if our afternoons go a little smoother.
Can you find Teague? (Hint – look for a partial foot in the bottom left of the picture.)
He has taken to hiding when he is grumpy or in trouble.
Nap. Again.
(Maybe he wasn’t quite ready to give them up.)
Teague’s chosen activity of late is always the MeReaders. Even when Kaitlyn is napping and I am going to the basement to work on my computer he will choose to sit in the living room and read.
On this snowy morning my kids wanted to be pirates.
6 and 4 year old check ups combined – one of the upsides to having birthdays 10 days apart.
The sneaky nap strikes again.
Nobody is smiling but they are all looking at the camera and it was taken in the 2 minute window before the rain!
Teague’s school doesn’t do birthday parties. They have a Celebration of Life (which is happening tomorrow). Wade and I both come with a few pictures from each year of Teague’s life, some short sentences describing the years, and a great snack. Teague’s requested snack was car cookies, which we are making today.
Both boys got more flats for their birthday so Teague’s creations are getting bigger and bigger.
Aunt Emmy gets crafty with the boys.
The birthday boy and his brother.
He’s a rock star.
I was dumbfounded when I caught Teague putting the pacifier in his mouth. Then I realized it had fallen on the floor and he was cleaning it off – just like he had seen Mom do. Oops.
With the cold weather we have gotten a little lazy with checking our mail. Oops. Happy Valentine’s Day a little late.
Time outs are no fun.
Teague has been walking around with Alex’s singing birthday card held to his ear for the last few days. I think he really likes the singing cards.
Two sharply dressed young men.
We had such a crazy day yesterday that this is the first time Teague has had to look at his Valentines.
Sometimes your balloon flies away even after Mom warned you not to take it out of the car. Thank goodness the next stop was dinner at the T-Rex cafe.
Teague packed his backpack early this morning. He wore it all day long. I kept wondering what was inside but never got the chance to peek.
The secrets of a three year old (almost four year old).
Teague was trying so hard to read to Kaitlyn and she just kept trying to eat the book.
Teague loves to watch me cook and got so excited when I offered to let him stir.
Definitely a second son wearing hand-me-down jeans. The knees don’t seem to last very long at all.
Snail racers.
(Courtesy of a very cool birthday card.)
I might have been just as excited as Alex about his new snap circuits.
B came to visit!
Teague is always finding new ways to make Kaitlyn giggle.
The cutest two short-order cooks around.
Teague has officially given up naps and I’m fine with that. However, I love the little ones that still sneak up on him.
