Granny is always up for Legos.
Ben
This kid loves his Pop.
Ben and I ran some errands this morning and the cashiers were handing out stickers.
Granny is really good about spending quality time with everybody!
Granny wanted some help wrapping Wade’s birthday presents. She may have gotten more than she needed!
Granny and Pop are here!
Boxes are still the best.
Morning shenanigans
Ben loves his new bed companion – Ellie.
Reading books with Dad.
One of these boys should have known better…..
Waiting for the “go” to see what Santa brought.
Christmas Eve.
Ben still loves stacking anything and everything and today he got Gram to join in the fun.
Just a little sibling fun with the train tracks.
Rip. Rip.
Basket presents.
Just hanging out reading with Elmo.
It’s one of my kids’ favorite days of the Christmas season – the first day of basket presents.
Look closely. There is a Daddy under there somewhere.
Trains are the best.
Pageant day at church.
Breakfast with Santa today.
Ben went with me to drop off a piece of glass today. The wonderful man who runs the business was so kind to Ben. Before we left, he had given Ben two ornaments off his Christmas tree and was apologizing that he didn’t have candy canes to offer. Ben played with his ornaments all day.
I love little boys playing in the snow.
Donut morning!
I walked by Alex’s room and then did a double take. Alex decided to dress up Ben in his clothes – sweatshirt, belt, and hat. Ben was somewhat cooperative. Kaitlyn joined in the fun and grabbed his old glasses.
Arts & crafts time
(not Mom’s finest moments)
Cookies!
Peek-a-boo
Bathroom shenanigans.

Thanksgiving Day tradition.
Granny gets all the attention.
We stopped for the coolest milkshakes ever – The Grind.
Thankfully this little guy can’t read a calendar yet! Since we were all sick yesterday we pushed off the celebrating to today.
I grew up with a family saying of “Harpers never get sick.” Pretty much my entire life that has held true. I can think of maybe a handful times in my entire life the kids and I have a been sick. Before today I could also say that we had all never been sick at the same time. Only Ben escaped the wrath of this 24 hour bug – lucky guy.
We tend to wake up slowly and in shifts at Gram’s house. That also means the little ones often get cartoons. They usually don’t complain about that.
Headed home for the holidays.
We celebrated Ben’s birthday today since we won’t be home for his actual birthday.
2 is a fun birthday.
It’s leftovers for dinner. While I was fixing everyone else’s plates, Ben evidently decided to dive into the cold black beans.
I never know what I’m going to find with this guy. Today it was sparkle slippers and hiding in Pepper’s kennel.
The baby express coming through.
This boy loves his winter hats.
