Enjoying a blueberry cupcake at Katie’s Cupcakes.
Alex
Wade introduces Alex to puppets.
Granny reads bedtime books. (Note the new train book.)
Admiring the view from Whidbey Island, Washington.
Pop showing Alex the airplanes from Seattle’s Space Needle.
(Alex still calls the airplanes choo choos.)
“Choo choo“s were the perfect new toy to keep Alex entertained on a cross-country flight.
My little builder.
Best friends sharing a snack.
Enjoying the last days of summer vacation.
Making friends with the vacuum cleaner.
Alex loves our latest houseguest – Hazel.
Morning milk.
Yogurt with easy clean-up.
I’m trying to ensure Alex shares my love of cookie dough. So far, so good.
For more cookie making pictures see here.
Abram and Alex washing their hands. What could be more fun than playing in the water?
I rarely turn the tv on for Alex, but today Sesame Street worked wonders. Teething is no fun, but the total is up to 15 teeth.
No need for a silly towel.
Alex’s new best friend – until Abram gets back in town.
Chester is Abram’s guinea pig and we are watching him for the weekend.
Testing out our reusable bags. (He did this to himself.)
Playing at the park.
Trying to figure out what Daddy is doing.
Taking a break from stealing Madison’s bone for a quick pet.
Evening walk.
We took Alex to beach today and were pleasantly surprised at how much he loved the sand. He sat right beside our towels and played for hours. I’m not sure he has ever stayed in one place so long before.
Wade had his grilling tongs and showed the boys how to “flip” blocks. They both needed their own tongs to try it out.
He’s cute and he knows it.
At 18 months – 25 lbs and 2 oz. (40 percentile) and 33 1/4 inches (80 percentile)
(Alex has learned how to take off the diapers with velcro. I bet he took it off at least 10 times while I was trying to talk to the doctor.)
One cool dude.
Alex really loves his yogurt.
Helping mom make cookies. He had just had a chocolate chip and was showing me he wanted another one.
Ready to go. Now if I could only convince him to put my stuff in his backpack too.
Constantly on the go. (He managed to find Wade’s hat and put it on by himself.)
This is definitely my child.
Very excited about hearing a plane. (I didn’t tell him it was actually a train.)
Fireman Alex to the rescue (he put his hat on by himself).
Enjoying an ice cream treat at Tosa’s Night Out.
Just swinging.
Wade and I were in our room getting ready for church and listening to Alex play in his room (or so I thought). I suddenly heard his voice get muffled and thought he had shut his door, which he can’t always get open by himself. When I went to investigate, I found him stuck in the shower.
The little boy in the mirror.
Alex and his favorite book.
Waiting for traffic to clear.
I know there is something good to eat up there and I need it. NOW!
(There is in fact strawberry cake, but it is for my cake decorating class tonight.)
Loving his new pool (and having Abram over).
Alex has suddenly become interested in books.
He not only sits and listens, but now he brings them to us to be read.
He gets really excited when he sees a ball (like in the book pictured) and quickly points it out by name.
Sorry for the blurry picture and the unhappy child. It was well past bedtime before I remembered to take a picture.
Custard for a pre-dinner snack.
My sous chef.
I’m sure no one is surprised to see Alex in frog rain boots. I can’t get over how cute they are. I think we need them in a couple of bigger sizes.
Fun in the tub.
He was in there for 45 minutes and we had to refill the water once.
Alex loves Abram’s guitar.
