Little Scientists

Ben and Kaitlyn got out our experiment kits and had fun playing with the tools this morning. Kaitlyn was especially focused on the goggles and tongs which was adorable.

A Tasty Treat

Ben is well known to eat almost everything. Today he was begging for one of his favorite treats – frozen peas. He eats them most often over macaroni and cheese. (His theory is that it cools it down.) However, he also just loves to eat them frozen from a bowl as a tasty treat.

Land Ahoy!

The littles got into the dress up bin today and decided pirates was their go-to theme. Teague helped them build a boat complete with “seas” below. They played for quite a while and then asked me to come upstairs. Teague told the cutest story and the little ones acted it out. It was adorable! I was impressed with Teague’s creativity and the little two loved it.

Mail Day

The kids spend a lot of time drawing and “writing.” The last few days, they have decided to mail their creations to everyone they can think of – probably in hopes of getting mail in return. Ben’s latest idea was to mail his drawing to the mailman.

Private Viewing

Wade ended up with a projector forever ago with thoughts of maybe projecting onto the barn. We never got around to even turning it on. Then the pandemic happened. Suddenly we were stuck at home and decided to try it out. Wade ordered a screen and tonight we are trying it out for the first time.

The Best Granny

Kaitlyn got a package in the mail the other day. Granny made Kaitlyn’s tooth fairy pillow and Kaitlyn was so excited to get it. It’s perfect for her and the timing is just right since she now has a wiggly tooth.

We called to thank Granny but Kaitlyn also wrote her the cutest note.

Backyard Pool

I have never been so thankful for our supply of backyard water toys as this summer. We have a steady rotation going off the waterslide, slip n slide, and the pool. Today everyone voted for the pool.

High Five

I knew Alex was getting crafty in his room today, but I had no idea what he was up to. Then his friend arrived for a playdate and he appeared with his lacrosse stick. Alex had created a way to give a Covid-safe high five.
