I love when my kids choose to read in the window seat.

That bow!
Baby chef.
I turned around to find Ben and his mess. I’m still not sure if he is taking a break or giving up.
Sometimes when I take all four kids out in public things don’t go according to plan.
Today was Kaitlyn’s School Nature Walk. The stars aligned and I was able to attend – without Ben. It’s always fun to see her with her friends and teacher. We had a glorious fall day and the kids loved being out in the woods behind the school.
Typical.
Basketball has become everyone’s favorite activity at the end of the day.
Learning some new skills.
Just a little fun outside.
Ben was so excited when Daddy joined in on the building. Now the only Burch boy missing is Alex…
I have no words.
(But I do have a picture.)
An original by Teague.
Just swinging.
Cutie.
These are the best days. We had a gorgeous day. Wade was home early. The kids all wanted to join us outside. Perfection.
Alex strikes again.
Homework.
Some days you just need a nap.
Mr. Potato Head for the win.
I picked up Ben’s halloween costume yesterday. Teague couldn’t wait to help him try it on. Ben was rather indifferent to the entire process but was content to leave the costume on, which I had been worried about – especially the hood. One costume down and three more to go…
These big boys got tasked with cleaning up with all the puzzles Ben dumped out.
(I was a little disappointed in their puzzle working skills, but they were aces at following Mom’s directions.)
It’s a puzzle-kind of night.
He’s happiest while cleaning.
I’m pretty sure my kids live for Saturday afternoons. Then they are treated to 1.5 hours of iPad time while Ben naps. Most of the time they scatter to various parts of the house, but today I found them all in the same room.
Indifferent to school.
Okay with school.
Excited for school.
Wishing he were going to school.
We have lots of fun magnets in the house, but Kaitlyn evidently decided the ones that belong on Teague’s lunchbox are much more fun. Teague has a planet box lunchbox. The top can be decorated with magnets and he has several sets. I take the magnets off before popping the lunchbox in the dishwasher. Now I’ll just have to remember to put them back on – if I can get them away from Kaitlyn.
Chuck E. Cheese today!
Early morning driveway good-byes.
Walking to the bus.
Most of the time the iPads are off limits except for the weekends. Occasionally, I allow them to make an appearance during the week. Even more rare is before school. Thankfully Ben is content just to watch over a shoulder, with no sound. I’m sure he’ll figure out they are much more fun when you can hear what is going on on the screen.
Helping dad clean the shop.
Helping dad clean the shop.
A little morning Alexa.
My kids all love spaghetti. Some love meat sauce. Some love meatballs. They all love garlic bread. However, Ben is definitely my favorite to watch eat. He makes sure to get every last noodle.
The inventor at work again.
Pajama day at school is a dream come true for Teague.
Sometimes finding the right shoes is sooo hard.
I see these two do this all the time. Madison is just short enough and Pepper is just tall enough that Pepper ends up standing on top of Madison. I find it hilarious and they don’t even seem to notice at all.
Waiting time entertainment.
Bedtime.
Coloring is always more fun with a friend.
Quick milk break before he is off again.
It turns out that coloring is more fun with a friend.
Bedtime.
Some light reading.
Waiting on the bus.
