Leap!
Month: September 2018
Cucumbers are life.
Just a few more of the cute puppy taking over our house.
Pepper is still a little skittish but calms down immediately when Alex reads to her.
After school dip in the pool.
First day of Preschool – finally!
Napping the day away.
Kaitlyn has been anxiously awaiting for today – her first day of school. She has been ready since the boys started and finally today she got her picture on the front steps. You can see she wasn’t too excited to stop playing long enough to have her picture taken once she was in the classroom.
On the way to school, she did want to clarify that she didn’t have to jump in the pool with her clothes on after school. She evidently has been quite worried about this since the boys did it and she realized she would also have a first day of school. I assured it she did not have to jump in with her clothes on unless she wanted to do so.
Alex couldn’t wait to get home and spend some more time with Pepper.
Oops.
Dance class starts soon. Today we were fitted for shoes and got a new leotard. Of course she wanted to wear them all the minute we got home.
Ben learned a new trick today. Definitely no more naps in just his diaper.
This is Pepper. She is settling in nicely and we’re all enjoying having a puppy – even Madison. The kids are all still eager to walk her and take her out after school. Wade has been willing to get up with her in the middle of the night. I am in charge during the day.
All of my babies have had these bright blue eyes for the first few years. Then they slowly change begin to change and acquire different colors (a tad of green or brown) and end up being more like my eyes (hazelish and very color-dependent based on what I wear). I keep crossing my fingers that one of my kids will have blue eyes for good. Ben’s my last hope…
Wade and Alex have had a long 24 hours but they got a pretty awesome treat out of it. Pepperdine “Pepper” Reese Burch joined our family form Pennsylvania and Alex is over the moon. She is a tad shy of 8 weeks old and is an Australian Shepherd. Life is about to get even more crazy around here.

Poolside.
We have a big weekend planned and wanted at least one day to enjoy the pool. Thankfully today was warm and sunny so we spent most of the day outside. It was perfect holiday weather!
This Memorial Day Weekend is pretty perfect!
Our family has discovered night swims. They are amazing. We do homework and evening activities. We have dinner. We even put Ben to bed. Then we rush to put on our swimsuits and go for an evening swim!
West End Creamery to burn some energy and get some ice cream!
With my luck, Ben will have figured out a way to climb to the top by next week.
