Tosa Group Photo!
Month: August 2015
I think they kind of like having their bunk beds back.
Teague was so proud of his new Legos.
I love a sleeping baby.
I told Alex a story I read on a blog about a little girl who pulled her loose tooth with a remote controlled car. He’s been dying to try it. Tonight his tooth was finally loose enough. Wade got it all tied up and we tried it several times.
Three little monkeys jumping on the bed – for the last time.
(We finally found the hardware for the bunk beds!)
Alex was in heaven when our neighbor came to play.
(No kids nearby was a definite drawback to living in the country.)
I was fixing lunch for these two when I turned around to find Teague sharing his yogurt with Kaitlyn.
(That’s the kind of brother he is. He doesn’t hesitate to share or give to try to make her happy.)
Post nap.
We’ve been up for hours. We finally decided it was an okay time to come outside to play. The boys decided to race their cars down our driveway. Fantastic idea! Our driveway is long, steep, and had a nice curve. Granny and Pop were coming by on their way out of town and stayed to watch a race or two.
Today the boys discovered that our driveway makes an awesome downhill racetrack.
(It is very steep and has a nice curve to it.)
She loves her Pop.
I’m not sure exactly the cause, but my kids’ feet stay black at this house. Ugh. Goodbye white bath mats.
Teague loves snuggle time – and it’s hard to come by with two siblings!
I’m not sure if she really likes mashed potatoes or just likes that I’m letting her hold the spoon.
I feel like we reached our first deadline last night. We had about 10 days to unpack and do any major errands before Kaitlyn was returned to us. We missed her like crazy, but some things were much easier without her. Thankfully Granny and Pop are staying a few days to visit with the boys and I can get a few more things checked off my list. Everyone loves having Granny and Pop here!
Pop has got these boys under control.
It took her no time at all to find “her” cabinet.
(We did take time off from unpacking to install child locks on most of the kitchen cabinets!)
The Jurassic Legos have sparked a new love of dinosaurs in Alex. Today he decided to practice drawing dinosaurs.
The boys love the curtains that came with our kitchen windows. They are perfect for hide-n-seek. We are still looking for Teague.
The whirlwind known as Kaitlyn – it also looks suspiciously dark outside for her to be up. I have the feeling she didn’t sleep much with those teeth coming in.
The boys haven’t played with the boxes for awhile, but they got back out the craft box and created a fort today.
Trouble – even at Granny’s.
This seemed like a good time to make sure all of our markers were still working.
Unpacking his market.
Exploring the Granny and Pop’s yard.
Back to the normal routine.
Back to the normal routine.
I have a feeling this picture sums up the week pretty well for Granny and Pop. Kaitlyn is teething.
The boys and I went over to our neighbors’ for ice cream sundaes. Somehow the boys ended up in a water gun fight. They had a great time and were worn out when we got home so I agreed to a movie after they changed clothes. They appeared wearing boxers and socks on their hands?!?!
I fell asleep during their movie and obviously the boys did too. When I woke up and looked around, this is what I found.

Kaitlyn was riding in style while at Granny and Pop’s.
The movers couldn’t find the bunk bed hardware so the boys mattresses are on the floor and we figure we’ll find it eventually….
The boys and I have taken a lot of “unscheduled” naps.
Granny and Pop found Kaitlyn some chairs her size.
At this point we are swimming in boxes. We have just been tossing them on the back deck and hoping it doesn’t rain. We finally called for a box pick-up (an awesome service we got with our move) and the man came today. I was a little embarrassed by the mess we had and did some straightening before he arrived.
These boys gave the shower in their bathroom a test run today.
Kaitlyn loves her Granny.
I’m glad the boys thought a breakfast picnic sounded like fun.
(Did I mention they also slept on the floor last night?)
I’m pretty sure Granny has given up trying to keep Kaitlyn seated in the high chair.
We conveniently planned our move around Grant’s fourth birthday party. That’s not exactly true, but it did work out nicely. I spent the morning unpacking, the boys sent the morning playing with boxes, and then this afternoon we drove to Milwaukee to see some old friends. Grant’s party was today and we were so excited that we could attend! We haven’t seen some of our friends in a year, but it seemed like no time at all had passed! The boys settled right in with their old friends.
Three amigos – together again.
Dinner with Milwaukee friends!
It looks like Granny’s cabinets are just as much fun as Mom’s.
Wade told us there was a beach, but this is the first we have seen of it.
I think we’re going to love it here.
This is how we roadrtip.
(Madison is in the front seat.)
