Teague was trying to help me keep Kaitlyn away from dangerous objects – the stairs, outlets, etc. He finally decided to put her in a cage.
Month: April 2015
Tonight was Wade’s first night coaching Teague’s team so we all wanted to be there. Alex was excited to be a helper. Teague just wanted to play soccer. Kaitlyn wasn’t given much of a choice. Thankfully it was a small team and the kids were mostly excited to be there. They were pretty good about particiatping and listening (for three and four year olds). My favorite was the name game. You see the picture where several kids have their hands up? The question was, Who’s name is Wyatt?
It was crazy hair and mismatched clothes day at school. Alex was excited about it and refused to get his haircut last week in preparation for this day.
This phase of life includes Teague taking three times as long to eat dinner as the rest of the family…
Kaitlyn enjoyed being outside without the sun in her eyes, until she realized she had a hat on her head.
Obviously the concept of April Fool’s Day was discussed at school. Alex understood it was a trick or joke day, but not what that really meant. He would make an outlandish statement and then say April Fool’s. By bedtime we were kind of worn out and finally tried to explain to him that it was more an action or real trick you tended to play on someone. He promptly went in the bathroom, rolled out all the toilet paper, and then called Wade and said, “April Fool’s”. Maybe next year…
(I was upstairs putting Kailtyn to bed and appalled that it hadn’t occurred to my husband to take a picture before he cleaned it up!)
