Hangars. The new favorite toy.
Month: November 2014
Alex got a sore throat over the weekend and was still feeling under the weather this morning. (Not to mention he is extremely whiny about it and I figured it wouldn’t fly under the radar at school.) He stayed home with me and was really excited to help me clean. He even helped me organize my sock drawer. The rest of the day was full of our normal shenanigans.
What do you do on a sick day?
(Mom confession – I kind of hate temporary tattoos. The boys never request them so they tend to gather in my house and never get thrown away. Today we put them all to use at once. His front side is covered too!)
A toy is never more interesting than after Mom puts it in the sell pile.
(In the last year this had been touched once. In the last two weeks it has been played with daily.)
This one is always chewing on her fingers.
Sick.
Tickle fight.
Little sister.
A little under the weather.
Snuggles with Daddy.
“What do you mean GaTech lost the ball?”
(Kaitlyn loves to watch football with Daddy and is normally very content in his arms watching the TV.)
Alex was so excited to get of the bus today. He had been chosen “Owl student.” Not only is he line leader for the next week, but he gets to bring home “Hoot” (the stuffed owl) for the weekend and take pictures of all our activities. (Alex knew the picture taking would be right up my alley.) So here is our life documented with Hoot.
Family Mario Kart game.
These non-working games kept the boys entertained while Amanda and I talked.
Tiny red shoes.
The entire past year I have made fun of Wade’s athletic socks. He was sitting in the living room putting on shoes and socks when I realized his socks had an L and R to designate the correct foot. I pointed this out and he laughed because he had never noticed it either. For the next nine months we would joke about how often he got them on the right feet without trying. Today I looked down at my workout socks and guess what I saw?
Swim lessons.
Swim lessons.
Evening swim lessons cut into bedtime for Kaitlyn but she was happy to just stay snuggled in her carrier and smile.
Tickle Monster!
Books in front of the fire.
Kaitlyn has now progressed to holding toys and occasionally bringing them to her mouth.
The Christmas List!
Sharing a snack.
Bright eyed.
Climbing.
Swinging.
Camouflage baby.
When I got a new computer, Alex asked for my old one. Wade finally got it all set up for him.
Teague has his hands full.
Alex changed her diaper….
Kaitlyn really likes to watch football with Wade and I wanted to take a picture of them. Alex can’t stand a picture being taken without him. He quickly popped up to steal Daddy’s attention.
Yummy blue sucker.
Just sitting on the couch.
First official homework.
Working on Christmas lists. (He was much more interested in helping Alex with his than working on his own.)
I left Kaitlyn like this and when I looked again she was on her back. Teague insists she rolled over by herself but I have some doubts.
Sibling love.
I am so thankful for a happy baby that is content to sit and watch the craziness of our life.
Numerous people tell me that Kaitlyn looks like Alex. (I’m thinking of you here Amy.) I searched through my pictures of Alex and found one I could re-create with Kaitlyn. Below is Alex on the left at 4 months and Kaitlyn on the right at 4 months.
Wild, Wild West day at school.
(This belt is from Alex’s second Halloween costume!)
These Lego blocks are our most fought over blocks. Both boys want all of them, all of the time.
(They have the name “flats” in our house.)
