It Takes A Village

It takes a village to make soup for dinner. It was one of those stormy, cold days. Alex was out of school so he joined Kaitlyn and I on our morning errands (including the grocery). During nap I decided creamy chicken noodle soup sounded perfect for dinner. The only problem was I had no celery or French bread. The heavy rain hadn’t let up all day and I just wasn’t sure I could face three car seats in the rain for another trip to the grocery. I posted my predicament on Facebook and Jill, a girl from my church, quickly offered celery and croissants with a minivan drop off. I decided to take her up on her offer (thank you for attached garages) and ran to her house to get the necessary ingredients. The kids didn’t even wear shoes or coats and never got wet. Dinner was excellent!
