Alex was an extremely unhappy baby for about 15 months. Wade and I both felt that meant our next newborn should be the world’s easiest baby. Unfortunately that is not turning out to be true. Kaitlyn is nothing like Alex, but she is a very fussy baby. If she’s awake she needs a lot of attention to keep her happy. Thankfully she also sleeps – which Alex didn’t. There have only been a handful of time she hasn’t slept between feedings and almost from the second week she has had really long stretches at night – the longest being 10 hours. It’s amazing what I can handle during the day when I only get up once in the middle of the night.
