Bitty Baseball pictures were tonight.
Teague has always been a car boy. His new thing is anytime someone leaves the house he wants to watch them “back up.” So once again today he couldn’t wait to get outside and watch the truck leave.
We ran out of carrots so Alex wanted “crunchy” lettuce to go with his dip.
Testing out the new sailboat.
Project with Dad – a new sailboat.
Checking things out.
Starting the day with Legos.
“Monkey my baby”
Alex is pretty determined to wear his hat this way. No matter how many times I try to straighten it, this is how it looks a few minutes later.
My little painting pirate – who did not want his picture taken.
Still loving baseball.
One boy towing another boy in a box. Just a typical day at the Burch house.
Alex played soccer in Milwaukee at ages 3 and 4. The lesson was an hour long and they did drills, played silly games, etc. Teague is taking soccer at age 3 and also for an hour. The difference is after a handful of “practices” they are playing real games. It’s cute to watch and the older kids (they range from 3-5) are actually getting the concept. Teague loves to run the field but he doesn’t really understand the rest. He tries to hold the coach’s hand, pick flowers, and just run. They put him as goalie and he does understand that he stands in that one spot but doesn’t actively try to stop the ball. It’s hilarious. My favorite is when he decided to tell two kids on the other team (red) that they couldn’t be goalie (they were standing to close to his net). This child is scare of nothing!
Swim lessons.
Library day.
Alex really wanted to try baseball this year so we signed him up for Bitty Baseball. I don’t know if it’s because he is five or because he really loves baseball, but he did great. He barely wanted to stop for water breaks. The one sport Wade and I were really hoping to avoid seems to be a winner – at least for this summer.
This kid seriously loves apples – this is his third today.
Teague spent the entire ride home examining his new scrape.
Alex’s reaction to a thunderstorm.
(A really bad one – we lost power for about 5 hours.)

I’m not sure what prompted any of this – from the superman shirt (I had him in a red shirt), to the tricycle, to the two swords. He was having a blast though.
In our last two houses, Wade and I have both wanted to move the garbage disposal to a different location. In our last house it was from the small middle section to the deep left side. In this house it was from the shallower right to the deeper left. Is it weird that I want the disposal on the deeper side? That is where I find myself scrubbing/soaking/etc. That of course means that then there are more food particles on that side. Regardless my awesome husband moved it for me today and it only took two trips to the local hardware store.
I love to find my kids enthralled with their books.
Moments before they both went under…
We got a new (bigger) pool today. It was the best afternoon!
Alex wanted to write a note to both his teacher and the librarian.
“I no like thunder. I go hide in my room.”
We are logging lots of lego hours these days.

We have a guest room above our garage, which means it is completely separate from the house. The only way into it is through the garage. It’s a little strange but it does make it easy to keep off limits to the kids and give visitors a little extra space. It is also one of the few rooms that is completely done (or close enough). That means we are ready for visitors!!
Broken AC at home means we spent a few hours in the nice, cool library.

Children watching TV. (i.e. making it easy for the neighbor while Mom and Dad make quick trip to the hospital to get checked out – no baby yet)
Skyping with friends in Milwaukee.
Creating rockets left and right.
I was rather impressed with this lego fort Teague created all by himself.
I was working on pictures for a photo wall and realized I never posted these pictures taken by Christine Plamann right before Easter (and Teague’s eyelid surgery). We had a 15 minute session and I love the pictures she got!!
