Toadfrogs

Again With The Bats

I am seeing a definite trend (see 2008 and 2011). I was downstairs reading on the couch last night and Wade had gone to bed early. I heard a rustling noise in the dining room. I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Sure enough a bat was flying around. I hid under my blanket until it settled down. I grabbed the cat and dog and went upstairs to bed – for once shutting the door to our room (with the animals inside).
Thankfully today was one morning Wade had to get up early. As soon as his alarm went off I told him there was a bat downstairs. I mentioned it again after he had showered. At this point he asked me if I was hinting that he needed to take care of it. I said there was no hinting. About this time Alex’s clock turned green and he showed up and wanted to be involved too. I convinced him to stay upstairs until the bat was caught. Then Wade called him down to see it. Evidently this one was a baby.

Then Wade let him go outside and hopefully there will be no more bats in the house!

  1. Wow…that little baby bat has some serious teeth!
