Rainy days.
Month: May 2010
That’s right. It’s cold enough for a sweater in May.
I had heard about Monkey Joe’s, but I’d never made it through the door. Abram and Amber invited us to play and we tagged along. Abram obviously loves the place and the concept is great – lots of bouncy houses. Alex was a little overwhelmed. He’s still pretty shaky walking on solid ground. He didn’t mind bouncing on his terms and without big kids making big bounces.
Someone never quite recovered after missing his morning nap.
The time has come. My blog has become all about Alex and very little about the random things I like to post about. Alex now has his own website – a single picture for each day (starting with his birth). It is appropriately called Little Toadfrogs at www.littletoadfrogs.com. I’m sure my blog will continue to have lots of Alex info, but I won’t feel as compelled to always include him.
The things I haven’t mentioned lately that I want to (and hopefully will get around to):
New recipes
Adoption Stuff
New restuarants
House fire across the street
Trying a garden
….

In the quest for a shared evening activity (other than Mario), Wade and I have decided to work a jigsaw puzzle. I love tedious projects so this is right up my alley. Wade hates tedious things, but seemed interested enough. We are doing pretty well, but discovered very quickly we have different theories on how to properly work a puzzle.
Playing on the bathroom floor is so much fun.
He’s definitely my son. Eating cereal right out of the box.
Guess who helped Dad in the yard today?
Dad not only shared his Nutri-grain bar, but I got the wrapper too!
We were on a mission to work outside today. We took a slight detour and had breakfast at the Daymaker Cafe. I had excellent French Toast and my guys both had burgers. Cute place. Then we headed to the nursery and loaded up on plants.
I now have my hanging baskets hung:
My window box filled:
My pots on the front porch:
I also painted the concrete sills under the basement windows. Wade removed quite a few bushes and I can finally reach them:
Wade tackled the job of rebuilding our planter wall and planting the Oak tree to the right of the tulips. I didn’t get a before picture, but here is a middle and after:
