Month: April 2010
Alex has affectionately become known as “Booger” in my family. I didn’t realize it until my mom pointed it out, but I call him Booger when he’s having a bad day and Alex when he is a happy boy. Today he was Booger.
The Easter bunny came.
Tomorrow we are taking part in an Easter potluck. I spent the day baking goodies – Poppyseed chicken casserole (one of my favorites) and desserts.
First up I tried a Chocolate Syrup Cake by Better, Home, and Gardens. The cake looked wonderful, but I wasn’t overly impressed with the taste.
Second up I made Devil’s Food Cupcakes by Woman’s Day. I didn’t think they were sweet enough, but I got plenty of practice icing:
I just love baby jeans.
I made these strawberry cupcakes a few days ago and still can’t get enough. Maybe it wasn’t so bad that the batch made 40:
Most days I let Alex sleep till he wakes up. The exception is swim class. I almost always have to wake him up from his morning nap a little early. Today he woke up to the sound of the camera clicking:
Good Morning!
Alex has needed a haircut for weeks. Wade came home early and we all went to WhimsiKidz. I didn’t realize how bad his hair really was until I saw him with the new cut:
The weather has been gorgeous the last few days so we took a walk to the park. Alex takes a few steps everywhere he goes before finishing with a crawl. On the playground he walked from the slide to me (his longest walk yet):
We tried to introduce him to the sandbox, but he didn’t like the feel of the sand. He loved jumping from the platform of the jungle gym into Daddy’s arms:
Alex isn’t so sure about the sand.
